How to do the Capacity balancing process

Modified on Mon, 23 Sep at 1:27 PM

Capacity balancing is performed to achieve optimal output on the production line. This involves determining the most effective combination of operators to minimize idle time and maximize efficiency.

After the user has decided on a module/line for the specific style to be allocated, they can create a rebalancing plan within the application. This may involve reallocating certain tasks to different operators of the production line, based on a variety of factors such as available resources, operator skills, and production requirements.

Step by step process

1. Scroll to the “Capacity Balancing” tab in the left of the screen and click “New”.

2. Select the layout option, line, from date, the status and finally click the save button.

Copy of this layout- Once you tick the copy of this layout option, a copy of the original layout is created. This allows you to add or remove operations of the copied layout without impacting the original layout.

From Date - Allocation created date

Status - Status of the layout in the line Eg: Active- It is the running layout of the line

After capacity balancing is done the below screen will be shown

View performance- This function displays the performance of each employee based on the time studies.

View allocation- This function shows the distribution of the operations within the line.

The red highlighted areas show the operators who have not been studied by the respective work study officer.

Skill rate- Performance percentage of the operator for the relevant operation.
