How to Create a Department

Proper organization of departments are crucial for accurate reporting and billing. Here's how to manage these in the system:


  1. Navigate to the Departments menu.



  1. To add a new department, click the "+ New Department" button.


  1. Fill in the required fields:

    1. Department Code: A unique identifier for the department

    2. Department Name: The full name of the department

    3. Cost Center: Assign the department to a specific cost center



  1. Click "Save" to create the new department.



  1. To edit an existing department, click on the specific department name link in the list and use the "Update" button on the New Department page.



  1. You can also remove a department from the Department menu if it's no longer being used.
