How to Create a Vehicle Type

Proper categorization of vehicles is essential for efficient fleet management and trip planning. 

4.4.1 How to Create a Vehicle Type

1. Navigate to the Vehicle Types menu under Maintenance.

2. To add a new Vehicle Type, click the "+ New Vehicle Type" button.

3. In the New Vehicle Type form, enter the required information:

   • Vehicle Type Code: A unique identifier for the vehicle type

   • Vehicle Type Name: The full name or description of the vehicle type

4. Click "Save" to create the new Vehicle Type.

5. To edit an existing Vehicle Type, click on it in the list and use the "Update" button on the Update Vehicle page.

6. You can also remove a vehicle type from the Vehicle Type menu under Maintenance if it's no longer being used.
